Bacon Kevin Bacon.

So due to a technical glitch on The Circle this morning, I told the world about the artistic marvel that is Bacon Kevin Bacon, but I was unable to show the world. So here it is now, in all it's salty glory. It's a sculpture of Kevin Bacon, made entirely of bacon. I hope you'll agree that what it lacks in accuracy, it certainly makes up for in deliciousness, because everything tastes better with bacon, even Bacon.

Sam and Eggs.

It's no secret that Sam Thaiday loves eggs Benedict, or that I love Sam Thaiday. I think he is a big, beautiful, ringletted unit and I've said so on many occasions. He's smart, funny, well spoken and not up himself, which in my limited exposure to football players I've found to be a pretty unlikely combination. (Don't worry, no one will be offended, they would never read a blog like this.) He's also revolutionised his life, which I love. He's reconnected with his high school sweetheart...

Madonna before and after, but always now!

Seriously, just photoshop me once and I will never again care what I actually look like. Isn't this brilliant? If I had just one picture of myself that was as sympathetically retouched as this, I would simply replace every mirror in my home with the idealised image. I'd stand before it every morning, pouting and primping like a lunatic, and train myself to ignore all of the outside world's vicious reflective surfaces. The original image is startling I have to admit. I knew I'd inherited...

Prisoner returns!

OMFG. Prisoner is coming back. Ideally channel 10 would just run the original series from start to finish and then we'd have ticker-tape parades in every capital city, (and a few regional centres) during which the surviving cast members would be feted, Jane CLifton would sing her 1984 break-out hit "The Girl in The Mirror" and we'd all raise a fag to Lizzie Birdsworth. In Melbourne the parade would finish at Young and Jackson's (her favourite pub) and they'd deck the Chloe room in denim in...

x factor basher turns xxx flasher!

I've conjured up my best British tabloid headline for this story because it's such an excellent example of the kind of fame that can be achieved in that grotty underworld of the British tabloid press to which the Australian press seems at times to aspire. Although granting the "Chk chk boom" girl a TV gig looks respectful in comparison to this. Abby came to the world's attention as a wonderful, viral time-waster. She and her best friend Lisa unknowingly demonstrate so many awkward, yet compelling...

If Oz X factor was as good as this i’d be tempted to watch.

I finally watched a couple of minutes of Australian X Factor last night and it blows pretty much as hard as I expected it to. Guy (who is great) got one of his top showbiz mates to come and help him out with the mentoring duties. It was Ray Thistlethwaite from Thirsty Merc (who is brilliant). As usual with these shows, I personally couldn't tell the difference between the good ones and the bad ones. I could tell that the group of girls who've already sung professionally as back up singers for...

Ke$ha when she was just Kesha. (Say no to high school vids kids.)

Oh God, I am so glad I was a teenager before the youtube years. Some of you will be astonished to know there was such a time, but there was. Sure, some people's parents had video cameras, but they were big, the video tapes they dumped the footage on were big, the process was long winded, and thankfully, a lot of embarrassing youthful moments were eventually taped over. There was no internet, and the simple process of sharing memories with a spiteful world that we take for granted today, was...

the wisdom of 50cent.

These tweets are not for the faint hearted or those who don't think it's cool for anyone to use the "n" word. Up until recently, 50cent had a minion who handled his twitter account an it was used as a promotional tool to let all his fans know about music releases and such. Turns out no one cared, or bought any of his music so the twitter account was turned over to Fifty himself. Since then it has become quite the font of wisdom on all manner of subjects. It's an astounding read, and sure...

A lot of wife beaters are not mentally ill, just abusive.

Before anyone commences a media campaign to convince us that they have a mental illness, like say, bi-polar or that their depression medication made them do something they would never ordinarily do, shout yourself a couple of minutes with Sean Connery. He's a guy that many women claim as their ultimate crush. I'm always shocked because I thought everyone knew about his views on assaulting women. Here they are in all their glory. Some men are not mentally ill, or on medication, they're just...

Antoine Dodson interview. Hide your kids, hide your wife.

UPDATE!!! Here's an interview with Antoine Dodson from the radio show this morning. I am so happy for him and his family. Here's the videos as well, it's your one-stop-shop for hide your kids, hide your wife fun. I never share youtube videos because I know everyone will have seen them by the time I bother to open all of those links on facebook. I nearly posted that thing last week where the girl quits her job by writing messages on the whiteboard. My laziness sure did pay dividends that...
