I'm happy for Julia Gillard but I have been alarmed to say the least by some of her statements since seizing office. I understand as well as she does that Kevin Rudd lost his showbiz appeal, and nothing more. Federal politicians are generally privately educated former lawyers and career beaurocrats. God there are a lot of stressed people out there. Stressed about the way in which Julia Gillard has become our Prime Minister for one thing. Some people are very distressed to learn that we in Australia do not vote for an individual, but for a party, with policies, and when the individual whom the party elected to lead them toward the realisation of those policies is deemed to have stopped doing so, the individual is replaced.
